Why KitFern?
Most online image tools upload your photos to a server, process them there, and send them back. KitFern works differently: the processing code runs inside your browser tab, using your own device. Your images are never sent to us, so there is nothing for us to store, see, or lose.

Which image formats are supported?
You can open JPG, PNG and WebP, plus GIF, BMP and AVIF where your browser supports them. GIF, BMP and AVIF files are saved as PNG or JPG, and animated GIFs keep only the first frame.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes, it works in modern mobile browsers. Very large images may be slower on older devices.
Why is it so fast?
There is no upload or download step. Your device does the work directly.
